Do you think that Disney-owned hotels are expensive? Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel is one of the official hotels of Tokyo Disney Resort, and it’s a value-type Disney hotel.

The hotel consists of two wings, Discover, themed on adventure and discovery, and Wish, themed on dreams and fantasy.
Discover
The Discover building has a lobby with sofas and objects inspired by the Tokyo Disneyland attractions “Beaver Brothers’ Canoe Quest” and “Big Thunder Mountain.”
Wish
The Wish building has art depicting Cinderella Castle and Tokyo Disneyland’s “It’s a Small World” attraction. Sofas featuring the park’s “Alice’s Tea Party” are located in the lobby.
Price
The room rate is $178 per room per night (standard room), so if four people stay in a room, it costs only about $50 per person. The Celebration Hotel is the cheapest of the Disney-owned hotels.
Room rates are related to the park’s peak and off-peak seasons; late January through February is the most available time. Japan’s GW(May), Obon(August), Christmas season, and spring break for students(March) are crowded. In terms of days of the week, prices are higher from Friday to Monday because it is easier to make plans. Therefore, Tuesdays through Thursdays during the off-season are recommended.

The $548 total is about the same as the cost of one night in a character room at the Disney Ambassador Hotel.

Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel is about 20 minutes away from Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea by free shuttle bus; note that there is no bus service from JR Maihama Station. The nearest station, JR Shin-Urayasu Station, takes about 10-15 minutes by local bus. If you walk from the station to the hotel, it is 2.2 km, so it is best to avoid walking.
Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel to Maihama Station
There are two ways to get to Maihama Station from the hotel.
- Take a local bus to JR Shin-Urayasu Station, transfer to the JR Musashino Line or Keiyo Line, and get off at Maihama Station.
- Take the free shuttle bus to Tokyo Disneyland and walk to Maihama Station.
Airport
There is a bus service between Haneda Airport and the hotel.
It’s not on the official website, but there is a bus from Narita Airport to Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel.
Room
The Celebration Hotel has ocean side and garden side rooms. The garden side rooms offer a view of the courtyard. All rooms on the ocean side have a balcony.

Most of the rooms can accommodate four or more people. I recommend coming here with your family or friends.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
The Celebration Hotel offers “pre-check-in,” which allows you to proceed before the standard check-in time. You can receive your room key in advance and have your luggage delivered to your room.

You pay in full when you check-in, so there is no need to go to the front desk when you check out. Room keys can be returned to the dedicated box in the lobby.
To Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo Disney Sea
There are two ways to get to the park. I recommend the free shuttle bus.
Shuttle Bus
Free bus service to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea is available from in front of the hotel.

- Bus stop: In front of the entrance of Wish and Discover
You can check the Shuttle Bus Timetable on the hotel’s website.
There are many buses in the morning and at night, departing every 5 to 10 minutes. When heading to the parks from the hotel, you will first lead to Tokyo Disney Sea. Please be careful not to make any mistakes when getting off the bus.
Taxi
You can take a cab to Tokyo Disneyland or Disney Sea. Please ask at the Guest Service Desk.

If you search on cab fare sites, you can get a lower price, but I think it costs about this much.
Review
I stayed in a standard room at the Discovery and Wish. The size of the room is small at 29 square meters, but I didn’t mind the smallness of the room, probably because of the small bed.
Pay attention to the wallpaper, too. It has a picture of an attraction ride, but can you tell which one is what?
Bed
The width of the regular bed is 100 centimeters. Compared to the deluxe type Disney hotels, it is about 20 centimeters smaller, but I slept well since I was tired after playing in the park. The mattress is soft, so your preference may vary. There is only one pillow provided, but you can add more pillows since they are available for rent.
The daybed is prepared like a sofa. There’s also a table so you can face each other and drink tea or have a meal.
Bathroom
In a typical Japanese home, the bathtub and washing area are separated. The first step in taking a bath is to wash your head and body in the washing area and then soak in a bathtub filled with hot water to warm up. For this reason, baths with washing areas are also used at Disney Hotels and are popular among guests with children.
View
Topiaries featuring “Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights” are set up in the courtyard. You can enjoy the illumination at night from the garden side rooms.
Since the hotel is far from the park, you cannot see the Disney Lights the Night(fireworks). However, the fireworks sponsored by Urayasu City are held in front of the hotel and can be seen clearly. The Urayasu Fireworks Festival is held every year in July.
Amenities
The amenities provided in the rooms are as follows.
The amenities are wrapped in Mickey Mouse packaging for Discover and Minnie Mouse for Wish. The cosmetics set is not shown in the picture, but you can get it at the guest service desk. It’s a convenient way to reduce your cosmetic pouch from your luggage.
The following items are available at the Guest Services Desk, so don’t forget to pick them up when you check-in.
The following items are available for rent. I haven’t rented them yet, but I would like to use them when I stay here for consecutive nights.
Restaurant
There is no restaurant in the hoteland no room service. You can go to Shin-Urayasu station to find pubs and restaurants. Another option is to take the free shuttle bus, get off at Tokyo Disneyland, and walk to Ikspiari.
There are a lot of restaurants in Ikspiari. I highly recommend the food court, where you can choose from a variety of delicious dishes at low prices.
Cafe
The Celebration Hotel has a cafe only for breakfast. You can have a simple meal in buffet style. There is a ticket vending machine at the entrance, so please purchase a ticket first.
I don’t have a lot of time in the morning, so I usually eat what I bought in my room, but I’ll try the buffet next time.
Shop
There are two stores in the hotel, both Wish and Discover. I know Disney Celebration Hotel is far from the station, but you don’t have to go all the way out of the hotel with this store.
Snack & Sandry
Inside the Celebration Hotel, there is a convenience store called Snack & Sundry that is open until 24:00, so you can still make it after the park closes. They have snacks, sweets, and drinks. They also have baby items such as diapers, so don’t worry if you run out.

Disney Fantasy
Disney Fantasy is a store where you can buy souvenirs that are sold at Disneyland and Sea. The selection is less than in the parks, but they do have some new items. I prefer to store here because it is less crowded than the park stores.

Wifi
You can connect to the Internet at no charge in the hotel with any WiFi-enabled device. The password for the connection will be given to you on a piece of paper when you check-in or check the TV’s top page in your room.
Park Ticket
Guests staying at Disney Hotels can apply for park tickets for a specific date at the hotel. Even if the park tickets are sold out on the official website, Disney Hotel Guests are guaranteed admission to the park. Celebration Hotel Guests can purchase 1-Day tickets and Early Entry tickets for the day of their stay and check-out date.
Baggage Delivery
If you stay at the Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel, you can use the “Baggage Delivery Service” to have your luggage delivered to the hotel. You can apply for this service at the Home Delivery Service Counter on the first floor of the Disney store “Bon Voyage” in front of JR Maihama Station until 3:00 p.m. The fee is $6, though. You can also leave your luggage at the hotel’s Guest Service Desk during your stay.

Restaurant Reservation
When you make a reservation for Disney Hotels on the official website, you can make reservations for Disney hotels and restaurants in the parks earlier than usual. I have used this benefit to make reservations at the popular Chef Mickey’s.
Early Entry
If you stay at a Disney Hotel, you can purchase an early entry ticket. This ticket allows you to enter Tokyo Disney Sea at 8:00 a.m., earlier than the regular opening time.

Advantages and disadvantages
I’ve sorted out the advantages and disadvantages for those of you who want to stay at a Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel but are not sure what to expect.

If the bus gets stuck in traffic, it will take more than 30 minutes. If you stay at the Celebration Hotel, you won’t have a chance to ride the Resort Line.
Decision
It depends on your priorities, but Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel is a good choice for those who want to keep their accommodation costs as low as possible and enjoy the parks for consecutive nights.

There are three ways to make reservations at the Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel.
Vacation Package
A vacation package is a tour that includes hotel accommodations, park tickets, reservations for attractions, and show tickets. This plan is unique to Tokyo Disney Resort and is available on the official reservation website. You can freely choose the hotel you want to stay at, and the Celebration Hotel is also an option.

If you only want to reserve a hotel room, I recommend the Tokyo Disney Resort Online Reservations & Tickets. It’s easy to find available rooms, and you can also get special offers for guests.
Travel sites
The cheapest way to book is through an online travel agency like Agoda or Expedia. Depending on the service, you may be able to earn points or get members-only prices. You can even get a discount if you combine your trip with the Shinkansen or a flight.
Summary
I’ve stayed at the Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel a few times, and it’s just a great place to stay at a reasonable price. That’s why I recommend it to long-stay guests and young people who are full of energy. You also get all the perks that only Disney-owned hotels can offer. It’s far from the parks, but there’s a free shuttle bus, so you don’t have to worry about transportation. Even if you’re exhausted from all the fun, you can still get to the bus stop, and they’ll take you back to your hotel.
