What are the hotels at Tokyo Disney Resort?
There are three main types of hotels at Tokyo Disney Resort.
- Disney Hotels: Directly managed by Oriental Land Corporation, the operator of Tokyo Disney Resort.
- Official Hotels: Partner hotels located within Tokyo Disney Resort.
- Good Neighbor Hotels: Partner hotels in the neighborhood.
There are currently five Disney Hotels: the Disneyland Hotel, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, Ambassador Hotel, Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel, and Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel.
In addition, a new theme port, Fantasy Springs, is currently under construction at Tokyo DisneySea, and the Fantasy Springs Hotel on the site is scheduled to open in spring 2024.
In this article, we’ll dig into the 2023 version of Disney hotel reservations.
How to make reservations at the Tokyo Disney Hotel in 2023 ( Rooms only )
The coronavirus pandemic has had a major impact on the Disney parks in Japan.
The operations of the parks and hotels are changing from time to time, even from 2022 to 2023.
Therefore, we recommend that you check the official website before your trip, as the Disney Hotel reservation rules may change.
Now, I’ll tell you how to make a reservation at this stage.
For Disney hotels, the current rule is to start accepting reservations at 11:00 a.m. on the same day three months in advance.
If the month in which the reservation starts does not have the same day of the month of stay, it will be accepted from 11:00 a.m. on the 1st of the following month.
e.g., if you want to make a reservation for July 31, the reservation will be accepted from 11:00 a.m. on May 1.
If you make a reservation through the official website, you can purchase a one-day passport for the number of people staying at the hotel from the date of check-in.
You do not need to go through any procedures when you make a reservation.
How to purchase tickets at Disney Hotels
You can purchase tickets for check-in day at the hotel ticket counter from 6:00 am.
If you plan to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, you can go to the hotel first thing in the morning and buy your tickets before entering the park.
This is the fastest way to enter the park if you are staying at the hotel and buying tickets on the day.
When purchasing tickets, the representative of your group needs to present an ID card, so please remember to bring it with you.
You can also receive a free ticket for the Resort Line, a benefit of staying at the hotel when you purchase your ticket.
You can purchase tickets at the Welcome Center at JR Maihama Station from 7:30 am.

There are many features of Disney Hotels, but all of them except the Celebration Hotel are located closest to the entrance gate of Tokyo DisneySea or Disneyland.
The official hotels are also located near the monorail station, so it’s not that far.
However, the Disney Hotel is much closer to the park than the other hotels!
Tokyo Disney Resort has a large number of guests, so there is inevitably a waiting time at each attraction.
The key is how to reduce the waiting time for the attractions, and being able to enter the park before everyone else is a big advantage.
Although pricey, I would recommend the Disney Hotel.
