This February, I stayed at the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta for my daughter’s birthday.

If you are going to stay at a Disney hotel, you may think it would be better to stay at MiraCosta at Tokyo DisneySea.

In this article, I would like to review the Harbor View rooms at MiraCosta.

What is Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta?

Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta is one of the Disney-owned hotels.

Of all the Disney hotels in Japan, only MiraCosta is located on the park grounds.

This makes it a popular hotel for many Disney fans to stay in.

When making a reservation at Hotel MiraCosta for the first time, you may be confused by the variety of rooms available.

First, there are three sides to the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta.

Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta
  • Porto Paradiso Side
  • Venice Side
  • Tuscany Side

Of the three areas, only the Porto Paradiso side faces Mediterranean Harbor.

The Porto Paradiso side is further divided into four room types according to the view.

Porto Paradiso Side
  • Harbor View
  • Piazza Grand View
  • Piazza View
  • Partial View

I stayed at the Harbor View this time, so let’s take a look at the rooms!

Porto Paradiso Side Harbor View Room

The room I stayed in was a Porto Paradiso Side Superior Room Harbor View.

My guest room is located at the star shown in the aerial photo above.

You can enter MiraCosta Hotel directly from inside Tokyo DisneySea.

The room number is 3133, on the third floor.

I checked in in the evening and the curtains in my guest room were closed due to the strong western sun.

This room has twin beds + trundle bed.

A tapestry of Disney characters was displayed by the bed.

This time it was my daughter’s birthday and she got a birthday card when she checked in.

I am glad that the Disney hotel was thoughtful enough to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with me.

There was also a comfortable sofa that could seat about three adults.

There were tables and chairs to sit facing each other.

You could open the curtains and have a cup of coffee with a view of the park.

It was a large and spacious washbasin.

There is also an ample supply of towels.

Disney hotels in Japan, like Japanese homes, have a washing area in the bath.

Amenities at Hotel MiraCosta

Hotel MiraCosta has amenities with Disney characters on them.

You can take all the amenities home with you.

You’ll find cotton and swabs in the can.

Indoor slippers for children are also provided.

I am always impressed that Disney hotels treat children as full-fledged guests.

Hotel MiraCosta Amenities
  • Toothbrush
  • Brushes
  • Indoor slippers
  • Paper bag
  • Washcloth
  • Amenity kit (cotton swabs, cotton wool, hair band)

Facilities at Hotel MiraCosta

Next, I would like to show some of the facilities and equipment at Hotel MiraCosta.

Most hotels in Japan provide a hair dryer.

There is a set of tea utensils for making coffee or Japanese tea.

These are free of charge.

In the refrigerator, mineral water is available for the number of guests.

Mineral water is also free of charge.

The drawer next to the bed contained postcards.

You can also take the postcards home with you.

Pajamas for adults were prepared for the maximum number of guests.

Kids’ pajamas can be requested at check-in and will be delivered to your room.

Children’s step stools are permanently installed in guest rooms.

View from Harbor View Room

From the Harbor View Room, Tokyo DisneySea’s Mediterranean Harbor was clearly visible.

The symbolic Prometheus Volcano is also visible in its entirety.

I have stayed in a piazza view room, but I could only see part of the volcano.

From the Harbor View Room, although I had to look through glass, I felt so close to the Park!

Shows from Harbor View Rooms

Check-in starts at 3:00 p.m., so shows after 3:00 p.m. are visible from the guest rooms.

The windows in the Harbor View Room cannot be opened all the way, but if you open them slightly, you can clearly hear the music of the show.

From our room on the third floor, slightly above the barge, we had a great view of the show.

MiraCosta also has rooms with balconies, but Superior Rooms have the advantage of being able to see the show regardless of the weather.

But I would love to stay in a balcony room someday lol.

Unfortunately, the fireworks were not visible from the Harbor View Room this time.

How to make reservations at Hotel MiraCosta

Hotel MiraCosta is arguably the most popular of the Disney hotels.

Reservations for Harbor View rooms are very competitive, especially on holidays and public holidays.

However, there is a good chance that reservations can be made for weekday stays.

The following article has more information about making reservations at Disney hotels.

Summary

I introduced Harbor View Rooms at Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta.

The parks were closed early that day, but as a Disney fan, I was excited just to be able to see the parks from my guest room.

I was also lucky enough to see a rehearsal of the new night show after the park closed.

MiraCosta’s Silk Road Garden is a great place to dine for families and groups!
