I recently posted a rehearsal scene from the upcoming night show at Tokyo DisneySea.
With the lack of events at the Disney parks due to COVID-19, I was excited to see the show start in the near future.
And finally, Tokyo Disney Resort has announced the premiere of a new night show!
In this article, I would like to share Tokyo DisneySea’s new nighttime entertainment “Believe! Sea of Dreams.”
New Nighttime Entertainment at Tokyo DisneySea
Tokyo Disney Resort has released an overview of the new night show at DisneySea.
- Show Title: Believe! Sea of Dreams
- Start date: November 11, 2022, Fri
- Venue: Mediterranean Harbor
- Duration: About 30 minutes
- Performances: 1 daily
- Participating Characters: Peter Pan, Wendy, Aladdin, Rapunzel, Miguel, Ariel, Moana, Elsa, and others
The new night entertainment will feature Tokyo DisneySea’s unique Harbor Show as well as projection mapping at the same time.
Projection mapping will be performed on the walls of the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta.
In other words, Mediterranean Harbor and the hotel building will be the stage.
It is no exaggeration to say that our surroundings, 360 degrees, are a stage.
And the show time has been increased from the original 20 minutes to 30 minutes.
With COVID-19 limiting the park’s events, the extended performance time is unexpected and welcome.
The performing characters are supposed to be aware of the Fantasy Springs, a new area at Tokyo DisneySea that will open in 2023.
I would also like to share a video of the new night show that has been uploaded to the official Tokyo Disney Resort channel.
The video makes us more and more excited!
November just coincides with the park’s Christmas season, which will be pretty busy.
Park tickets for the premiere go on sale two months in advance, September 11 at 2 pm!
When I stayed at Tokyo DisneySea MiraCosta in July, I was able to see a rehearsal of the projection mapping.
If you don’t want to see it, you can skip it.
I hope this will be helpful for those who are considering staying at MiraCosta for the new nighttime entertainment.
The projection mapping is probably more visible on the park side.
It is in the rehearsal stage so there is no music, but the images alone are incredibly powerful.
I really can’t wait for November already!
Summary
I have introduced Tokyo DisneySea’s new nighttime entertainment, “Believe! ~Sea of Dreams.”
I don’t know yet, but it looks like a package plan will be released that includes this show, so I’ll share any additional information as I get it!
