Cafe Kaila at the Japanese Version of Downtown Disney

Ikspiari is the Tokyo Disney Resort version of Downtown Disney.

Ikspiari is a fun spot for both dining and shopping.

I often use the restaurants after playing in the parks.

This time I would like to introduce Cafe Kaila, a popular restaurant at Ikspiari.

What is Cafe Kaila?

Cafe Kaila is a pancake restaurant that opened on the Hawaiian island of Oahu in 2007.

Its gorgeous pancakes topped with plenty of fruit became the talk of the town and were called “the best breakfast in Hawaii.”

Naturally, word of mouth spread among Japanese who love Hawaii, and Café Kaila finally landed in Japan.

The Maihama Ikspiari branch of Cafe Kaila is the second in Japan.

Cafe Kaila Location

Cafe Kaila is on the second floor of Ikspiari, which is directly connected to JR Maihama Station.

When you exit the park-side exit of Maihama Station, you will see Ikspiari on your left.

Kaila is located in the building just after entering the grounds of Ikspiari.

The entrance to the cafe is on the second floor, but there is an elevator, so strollers are welcome.

Cafe Kaila Menu

Please see the following link for the menu of Cafe Kaila Maihama Ikspiari.

Cafe Kaila Menu

The most popular menu item at Cafe Kaila is pancakes.

The original pancakes with plenty of fresh fruit on top are so delicious that they are a must-try.

All menu items are large in quantity, so families or groups may order a variety of dishes to share.

In addition to sweets, Loco Moco and Eggs Benedict are also available.

There is also a kids’ menu, so it is recommended for those with children.

Cafe Kaila’s business hours are as follows.

Each restaurant in Ikspiari is operating at shorter hours to prevent coronavirus infection.

Before you go out, please check the latest opening hours on the Ikspiari website.

How to Pay for Cafe Kaila

Café Kaila accepts cash or credit cards.

E-money and Suica are not accepted.

Reservations for Cafe Kaila

Cafe Kaila is a popular restaurant, so it is better to make a reservation before you go.

You can make reservations through the Cafe Kaila Maihama website (in Japanese).

I once went there on holiday without a reservation, but I had to wait more than 30 minutes.

On weekday mornings and evenings, you may be able to get in right away without a wait.

Summary

I introduced Cafe Kaila at Ikspiari, Tokyo Disney Resort’s version of Downtown Disney.

It has a warm and lovely atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in Hawaii.

The pancakes are served with plenty of fruit and are very photogenic.

At Ikspiari, I also recommend Rainforest Cafe.
