Tokyo DisneySea “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” Merchandise

Since Duffy’s debut at Tokyo DisneySea on December 26, 2005, the brand has continued to be popular in Japan.

Duffy’s goods come out for every season and every event, and they are always explosively popular.

On the first day of sales, long lines form in front of the stores, and it takes several hours to get in.

The first Duffy merchandise for 2022 went on sale on January 13.
The theme is “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage”.

This time, I’d like to share about the “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” goods that were released on January 13.

What is Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage?

Tokyo DisneySea celebrates its 20th anniversary on September 4, 2021.

Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” is one of Tokyo DisneySea’s 20th-anniversary projects based on the theme of Mickey Mouse and Duffy’s voyage.

You can enjoy goods designed by Duffy and Mickey Mouse, menus with souvenirs, and special rooms at MiraCosta.

There will be no entertainment programs or decorations in the park related to “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage”.

It’s a shame because, before the coronavirus outbreak, it would have been possible to do something other than sell merchandise.

However, these days, there are many fans who are satisfied if they can buy Duffy merchandise, and many Guests visit Tokyo DisneySea for shopping.

I also own a Duffy stuffed animal, and just looking at Duffy’s face is very soothing to me.

Surprisingly, this is the first time that Duffy and Mickey Mouse are the only two people to appear together on merchandise.
Normally, Duffy’s friends such as Shellie May are printed together on the goods.

You can’t buy Duffy’s goods at any of the stores in Tokyo DisneySea; there are only a limited number of stores where you can buy Duffy’s goods.

Galleria Disney is the closest store to the entrance gate of DisneySea.

When new Duffy products are released, you will need a standby pass to enter the above three stores.

However, the period when you need a standby pass is short, and you can enter the store at any time when there are no new products.

If you’re looking to buy Duffy merchandise, the McDuck’s Department Store has the largest and best selection.

When they run low on merchandise, they consolidate to McDucks, so if there’s an item you’re looking for, go to McDucks and you won’t waste any time.

Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage Menu with Souvenirs

At the Disney parks in Japan, you can pay extra for food to add souvenir items.

Souvenir items are special goods that you can’t buy in stores and can only get in restaurants.

Souvenirs include lunch cases, drink bottles, and tumblers.
Plates can be bought for as little as an extra 500 yen (one coin), so it seems like a good deal.

I can’t help but ask for a souvenir when I order a meal, lol.

Duffy’s souvenir goods are not available at every restaurant but at a limited number of restaurants.

There are many Disney fans who collect souvenir goods, and on the first day of the launch, the wait time at restaurants was five to six hours.

You don’t want to wait for five hours to buy a souvenir, do you?
But when you happen to order a meal at a restaurant and are offered a souvenir, you can’t help but buy it.

Special Rooms at Hotel MiraCosta

Hotel MiraCosta in Tokyo DisneySea has launched special rooms that give a “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” atmosphere.

The special room has Duffy’s amenities that can only be found in this room.
There are even room shoes for the plush Duffy lol!

As you can guess from the photo, the superior room on the Venice side is decorated.

A Superior Room at the Venice Side usually costs about 54,000 yen per room on weekdays.
So the special rooms are more expensive, but many guests may consider it worth staying there.

Hotel MiraCosta has collaborated with Duffy before and built a special “Mickey and Duffy’s Spring Voyage” room.

The number of rooms per day has not been announced this time, but it is expected to be quite small, so this is a valuable project for fans.

The Ambassador Hotel also has a Twisted Wonderland room, but it’s only one room per day.

It’s not cheap, but of course, there are guests who definitely want to stay there.

Chinese Tea Time at Hotel MiraCosta

Riding Soaring and Toy Story Mania aren’t the only fun things to do at Tokyo DisneySea!

You can enjoy the “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” afternoon tea set at Silk Road Garden, a Chinese restaurant in Hotel MiraCosta.

Until now, afternoon tea could only be ordered at the Dreamer Lounge at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, but now it’s available at MiraCosta!

I really want to go, but I lost the battle and haven’t been able to make a reservation yet.

If I can get there during this period, I’ll post a review.

You don’t need a ticket to use the restaurants at MiraCosta.
So there are many guests who come here just to chat.
