Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel Review Part 1

I recently stayed at the Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel, which just opened on April 5, 2022.

I enjoyed it very much and I would like to share my review with you all while my memory serves me well.

I have a lot to share with you all, so I will divide the article into several posts.

I hope you will bear with me until the end.

What is Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel?

Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel is a Disney-operated hotel in Japan.

There are currently five Disney Hotels at Tokyo Disney Resort.

Disney-owned hotels in Japan
  1. Disney Ambassador Hotel
  2. Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta
  3. Tokyo Disneyland Hotel
  4. Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel
  5. Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel

For an overview of the Toy Story Hotel, please refer to my previous article.

Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel Location and Access

Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel is located in the official hotel zone.

More specifically, Toy Story Hotel is located between Hilton Tokyo Bay and Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay.

Bayside Station on the Disney Resort Line is the nearest station.

At this time, there is no shuttle bus service from the Park or JR Maihama Station(Limousine buses are available from Haneda and Narita airports.)

Therefore, unless you are going directly from the airport by limousine bus, you will need to go to the hotel on your own.

The hotel is right in front of Bayside Station, so I didn’t have any trouble finding my way there.

Entrance to Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel

Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel, but first, before entering the hotel grounds, a Cast Member will confirm your reservation to stay at the hotel(At this stage, only guests are allowed to enter the hotel grounds.)

As you enter the site, you are greeted by a huge toy.

It is a wooden rail toy, but it also looks like a bench.

Seems we have already shrunk to the size of the toy!

Slinky Dog Park

Slinky Dog Park is the area in front of the hotel entrance.

There is a giant Slinky game board and everything you see is made of toys.

You feel as if you are already in the Toy Story area of the park!

The statues of Jessie and Buzz were about 4 meters tall and very powerful.

We went around 3 pm because we wanted to get into the hotel early.

The area is only open to overnight guests, so it was less crowded than we expected.

My daughter couldn’t wait to play in the Slinky Dog Park, lol.

She seemed to like the balance stone the best and jumped all the time.

They even had a giant KATAMINO!

We have KATAMINO at home, but it makes me happy to see a familiar toy on display.

Little kids could spend all their time at the Slinky Dog Park, as long as the weather is nice.

Please note, however, that there are rules for playing, and eating and drinking are not allowed.

The Lobby of the Toy Story Hotel

We arrived at the lobby of the Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel.

There are board games on the ceiling of the lobby.

The tables in the waiting area were designed to look like bobbins and buttons.

It really made us feel as if we had shrunk to the size of a toy.

The lobby is surrounded by the front desk, guest services counter, and Gift Planet ( store).

Check-in at the Toy Story Hotel

Check-in was done using a Wacom tablet.

This is the first time I use a tablet at Tokyo Disney Resort.

A kind Cast Member helped me to take pictures easily.

When checking in, please remember that a photo ID is required.

Elevators at the Toy Story Hotel

The elevators at the Toy Story Hotel had two different designs, Woody and Buzz.

When you ride the elevator, you can hear the voices of Woody and Buzz.

At check-in, the Cast Member will tell you which elevator is closest to your room.

We took the Woody elevator first and later the Buzz elevator.

When you get off the elevator, you will see a large mirror.

If you look into the mirror, you will see yourself as a toy, wrapped in a package.

Follow the footsteps of the toys and you are finally in Andy’s room!
