What are you planning to eat in Tokyo Disney Resort?
If you’re going to Tokyo Disneyland(TDL) or Tokyo Disney Sea(TDS), you should be planning not only what attractions you’re going to ride, but also what you’re going to eat. There are many unique and delicious food in the parks, but if you don’t have them in your mind before you go to the parks, it will be difficult to choose them in the parks, with the limited information on the park map. This article introduces one such great option for eating in TDL. The new pancake menus that have just started at Polynesian Terrace Restaurant, in Adventureland!
Polynesian Terrace Restaurant in Tokyo Disneyland started the lunch menu on 1st July, 2020. This day was Tokyo Disney Resort’s reopening day after the 123day’s closure, and I was lucky to get a ticket. As a fan of park food, I definitely wanted to go to the Polynesian Terrace Restaurant, and here’s my report.
Where is the Polynesian Terrace Restaurant?
Polynesian Terrace Restaurant is in Adventureland and between Jungle Cruise and The Enchanted Tiki Room.
You might get lost when going to Polynesian Terrace Restaurant because it looks similar to the nearby facilities like The Enchanted Tiki Room. No need to worry, however, because you can recognize Polynesian Terrace Restaurant by looking for a triangular roof as its landmark.
Inside the Polynesian Terrace Restaurant
There were social distance markers inside the restaurant and to take social distance, about half tables were used on 1st July.
Cases for facial masks were readied on the table. I saw this case for the first time, and I was impressed with their care for guests. Other restaurants that offered table service also readied the same cases.
The New Pancake Menu!
The photo below is the menu of Polynesian Terrace Restaurant. As you notice, there are only Lunch menus. Because Polynesian Terrace restaurant is the venue of the dinner show “Mickey’s Rainbow Luau,” business time as a restaurant is from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The menu can be seen below, incase the above picture is unclear.
- Lunch Pancakes with Beverage / $17
Lomi-Lomi Salmon, Bacon, Egg, and Fried Potatoes - Dessert Pancakes with Beverage / $17
Fruit, Strawberry Cream, Caramelized Banana, and Frozen Cassis-Milk
Sparkling Tapioca Drink instead of other beverages is an additional $4.
Kids menu(ages under 8-year) isn’t in the menu board above, but you can find it in the menu.
Sweet pancakes with adorable chocolate crafts!
I ordered the Dessert Pancakes with Beverage and Kids Menu. Though I just finished lunch before I came here, my appetite always has room for sweets! This is the Dessert Pancakes.
Chocolate of Angel from Lilo & Stitch is so adorable. It’s insta-worthy and I felt guilty to eat such a cute thing. But it seems my daughter liked it, so I gave it to her. As you see, there are 2 pieces of pancakes, so I shared them with my husband. I think the amount of this set is too much for a person after lunch. However, If I ate this set for a brunch or lunch, I’m sure I can eat it all.
Pancakes were fluffy and sweet. I loved caramelized banana the best as a topping for pancakes. There was strawberry jam along with pancakes, but I didn’t use it because it was too sweet for me. On the other hand, my husband, who has a very sweet tooth, used it all, and he seemed to like it. I can’t believe it! The Kids Menu was this,
Kids Menu was half size of the Dessert Pancakes and came with apple juice. I thought the volume was too much for my daughter, but she easily ate them all.
And this is Sparkling Tapioca Drink. If you order as a single item, it’s $6. It has orange juice on top and blackcurrant syrup on the bottom. It also has tapioca in it. It may be too sweet if you eat with pancakes. However, this is an excellent choice if you have a sweet tooth like my husband’s.
Is the waiting time long?
You can book seats for the Polynesian Terrace Restaurant using the priority seating system at the Tokyo Disney Resort Official website. However, I couldn’t access the official site on 1st July, so I went to the restaurant directly at around 2 PM.
When I reached Polynesian Terrace Restaurant, the waiting time was 45~60minutes. On 1st July, some restaurants accepted only guests who had a reservation, but Polynesian Terrace Restaurant was offered to guests without reservations.
I’m not sure how long the usual waiting time will be, because the number of entrance was limited to one-fifth of the usual number, but in turn, not all the tables were used so that guests can take social distance from each other. It may take longer than 45~60 minutes in the future, so if you have the chance to access the reservation system, it’s better to reserve tables in advance.
Summary
In this post, I shared about the new lunch menu in Polynesian Terrace Restaurant. If you are looking for something sweet, this is the place to go. Next time I would like to try the Lunch Pancakes, and when I have a chance, I will share it immediately!
