Disney Hotel guest benefits have been mentioned from time to time on this blog.
This time, I would like to share one of the perks, Early Entry.
What is Early Entry?
Early Entry is one of the benefits for Disney Hotel guests.
Even though it is called a benefit, it is actually a paid service.
Purchasing an Early Entry ticket allows you to enter Tokyo Disneyland one hour before the park opens.
- Price: 3,000 yen/person
- Sales period: March 1, 2022 – August 31, 2022 (until park arrival)
- Locations: Each Disney Hotel, Welcome Center
Early Entry does not apply to Tokyo DisneySea at this time.
Available Areas for Early Entry
Only certain areas of Tokyo Disneyland can be entered with Early Entry tickets.
The red area on the map above is where you can enter for Early Entry.
You will not be able to enter other areas until after the park opens.
In addition, there are a limited number of attractions that can be experienced during Early Entry hours.
- Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast
- Baymax Happy Ride
- Space Mountain (until August 21)
- Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blaster
- Monsters, Inc. “Ride & Go Seek! (through July 5 and July 22)
- Star Tours: The Adventures Continue (July 6-21, August 22-31)
I really want to ride all the attractions, but it’s pretty tough.
I will explain in more detail later on how to get around the attractions efficiently.
How to use Early Entry
To enter the park with an Early Entry ticket, use the special entrance.
When entering the park, please show your 1-Day Passport and Early Entry ticket to a Cast Member.
Early Entry tickets will be collected on the spot.
Attraction List for Early Entry
If you can get into the park early, you will want to ride the attractions efficiently during that time.
I recommend enjoying the attractions in the following order.
- “Monsters, Inc.” “Ride and Go Seek!”
- Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blaster
- Baymax Happy Ride
- Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast
I would have liked to head first to Beauty and the Beast, but there is a reason I chose it as my fourth.
Of the attractions that can be ridden as Early Entry, Beauty and the Beast takes the most time.
Beauty and the Beast has a pre-show before you get on the ride.
Therefore, if you ride Beauty and the Beast first, you will spend a lot of time on just one attraction, even though you were able to enter the park early.
The best time to wait in line for Beauty and the Beast is when the general public begins to enter the park.
By the time you finish your ride and come out of the exit, the general guests will have formed a long line.
Also, Space Mountain was nice, but I skipped it because it is quite a distance from the ride to the exit.
Caveats to Early Entry
The following are some of the caveats of Early Entry.
1. short time
The advantage of the Early Entry ticket is that you can enter the park one hour before the park opens.
However, the park actually opens earlier to avoid congestion in front of the entrance.
Even on days when the park opens at 9:00 a.m., general guests may be lucky enough to enter the park at 8:30 a.m.
In that case, early-entry guests will have 40 minutes to enjoy themselves, from about 7:50 to 8:30.
This is a distressing situation because it buys 40 minutes of your time for 3,000 yen.
2. not available on check-in day
Early Entry tickets can be purchased on check-in day, but can only be used from the next day.
It is not for those who want to play hard on the first day and sleep in at the hotel on the second morning.
Summary
I introduced Early Entry for Disney Hotel Guest Benefits.
I think it is a big advantage to be able to ride Beauty and the Beast without waiting in line for a long time.
Also, Japanese summers are hot, so small children and the elderly, who tend to lose energy, may prefer to do their activities in the cool of the morning.
Time is money, as they say, and Early Ticket is a great way to make the most of your time.
Thanks for reading to the end.
