Duffy’s Tea Time at Hotel MiraCosta in Tokyo DisneySea

As Tokyo DisneySea celebrates its 20th anniversary, “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” merchandise went on sale on January 13, 2022.

The details of the goods have been introduced in previous articles, so check them out if you don’t already know.

This time, I’d like to share Duffy’s Chinese Tea Time that you can enjoy at Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta.

What is Chinese Tea Time at “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage”?

In my previous post, I mentioned that there is a Duffy’s Afternoon Tea.

Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” Chinese Tea Time

Hours: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

I had a hard time making reservations, but I stayed at the Hotel MiraCosta and got a reservation for afternoon tea as a guest benefit!

Like the afternoon tea at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, the teatime sets at Disney-owned hotels are too popular.

I’ve never been able to get a reservation in the normal way, and every time I’ve tried, I’ve picked up someone else’s cancellation.

How to make a reservation for Duffy’s Chinese Tea Time

Since “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” Chinese Tea Time was only available until the end of April, there was a rush of people wanting to go.

So, I initially didn’t feel like I could get a reservation at all.

According to word of mouth, most of the reservations for teatime at Silk Road Garden are made by guests of Disney-owned hotels, and it is a miracle that ordinary guests can get a reservation.

At first, I tried for a miracle, but I gave up halfway.

However, when I stayed at MiraCosta to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, I was able to get a teatime reservation as a privilege for guests.

To be exact, there was no restaurant availability at all for a while, but I was looking at the online reservation site every day and all of a sudden there was an opening, so I clicked on it as fast as I could lol!

Once again, I will let you know how to make a reservation.

How to make reservations for Silk Road Garden
  1. The case of Disney Hotel guests
As a benefit of being a guest at the hotel, you can make reservations at the restaurants in the hotel during your stay.
You can make a reservation for the restaurant after your hotel reservation (starting from 11:00 a.m. on the same day two months prior) is approved.
  1. General guest case
Reservations start at 10:00 a.m. on the same day two months prior to the date of use at the online reservation site.

You can read more about it in the Silk Road Garden post.

They don’t accept direct reservations at the restaurant, so you have to win a fierce battle online to get a tea time set.

The period of time is until April, but given Duffy’s great popularity, I really hope they extend it.

Duffy’s Chinese Tea Time Menu

I’d like to show you the menu for “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” Chinese TeaTime.

It’s tea time, so first, we select our tea.

In addition to tea, you can also order alcohol for an additional fee.

The first half of the tea time set consists of appetizers and dim sum.

In the English style afternoon tea, it’s a three-tiered plate, but since it’s a Chinese restaurant, they served daisies.

The steaming basket with Mickey Mouse on it got me excited!

I’ve had dim sum from Silk Road Garden’s regular menu before, and I can safely say that it was delicious again.

The best part was the Chinese burger made with tender pork.

I would eat it again.

There were also Chinese sweets among the appetizers, and the first half of the teatime alone had quite a few dishes.

The second half of the tea time featured a dessert plate.

Mickey Mouse and Duffy’s sugar candy is adorable.

I couldn’t help but smile at the cake that looked like a duffle bag and the crayon-like ice cream.

The dessert plate comes with milk tea.

I had it at teatime and it was about the amount of food as a full course, so I didn’t even need dinner.

Summary

I introduced “Duffy’s Wonderful Voyage” Chinese TeaTime.

I was able to get a reservation at the last minute, but I don’t think I would have been able to go without the Disney hotel guest benefits.

I was very happy to enjoy my tea time at Silk Road Garden, which I usually only use for dining.

There were many women around with stuffed Duffy, but I think families and couples can also enjoy it.

I’ll be posting a review of our stay at the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta soon, so stay tuned!

Thanks for reading to the end.
